Meadows Mills, Inc. is proud to highlight our customers
and their wonderful products. We have manufactured stone burr mills since
our humble beginnings in 1902 in the foothills of North Carolina. We truly
believe that stone grinding yields a superior quality product. We
manufacture the only natural stone grinding mills and we have done so for 101
years. However, without our customers, we would not have the success we
have enjoyed. Our customers mill a wide variety of stone ground
products. Stone ground products are healthier and have more flavor than
products produced by other methods. Please review the list of our
customers who sell stone ground products, but most of all, buy their products
and enjoy. Your tummy will thank you.

Nora Mill Granary is a fully operational gristmill that is a full-time producer of all natural stone-ground corn and wheat based products that include: White & Yellow Grits "Georgia Ice Cream", Plain & Self-Rising Cornmeal, Corn & Wheat Flours, Pioneer's Porridge, Pancake & Waffle Mixes, Bread Mixes, Biscuit Mixes, Gravy Mixes, and much, much more. Somewhat historic in nature, Nora Mill Granary has been in operation as a water-powered gristmill since 1876. The mill sits alongside the Chattahoochee River where, on a regular basis, we will harness the power of the river to turn our 48" millstones that have been resident in the mill since its construction in the late 1800's. In addition to our old-fashioned, water-powered milling operation, we are fully equipped with modern Meadows Mills stone-grinding grist mills and all complimentary bolting, sifting, separating, and mixing machinery to render an old-fashioned, high-quality, all-natural line of products. Most all of our corn and wheat grains are locally grown in the Georgia Mountains & Valleys and are transported to our gristmill on a regular weekly basis. In the production of our all-natural products, all grains are stone-ground the old fashioned way at a nice slow moving pace. While grinding and sifting, we keep the heart of the grain (the germ) intact within our product which is the key ingredient that delivers a very hearty and rich flavor. We do not degerminate (remove the heart of the grain that contains over 97% of the minerals and vitamins), bleach, or enrich our products; therefore we are proud to produce a truly all-natural product. In addition to the products of our manufacture and processing, Nora Mill Granary carries a full line of Nora Mill branded old-fashioned jams & jellies, candies, cast-iron cookware, speckled enamelware cooking utensils & accessories, all-natural health and beauty items, cookbooks, and a number of old-fashioned novelties. |
