The Heritage
Stone burr mills in the Heritage family are available
with 16 inch, 20 inch, 24 inch, or 30 inch diameter millstones. The
Heritage family of stone burr mills is the heart of line of stone burr
mills. Rates of production are up to 250 pounds per hour in the 16 inch
stone burr, up to 400 pounds per hour in the 20 inch stone burr mill, up to 750
pounds per hour in the 24 inch stone burr mill, and up to 1,000 pounds per hour
in the 30 inch stone burr mill. Stone burr mills in the Heritage family
are typically used in intermediate to large mills and bakeries.
The housings surrounding the millstones are precision laser-cut from hot-rolled steel. The bearings are mounted sealed roller bearings. The shaft in the 16 inch and 20 inch stone burr mill is 1 11/16 inch diameter, turned ground and polished. The shaft in the 24 inch and 30 inch stone burr mill is 2 3/16 inch diameter, turned ground and polished. The 16 inch stone burr mill requires a 7 1/2-hp 1,750-rpm electric motor and operates at 682-rpm. The 20 inch stone burr mill requires a 10-hp 1,750-rpm electric motor and operates at 682-rpm. A 7 1/2-hp electric motor and 10-hp electric motor are available for use with either a single-phase or 3-phase electrical supply. The 24 inch stone burr mill requires a 15-hp 1,750-rpm electric motor and operates at 628-rpm. The 30 inch stone burr mill requires a 25-hp 1,750-rpm electric motor and operates at 628-rpm. A 15-hp electric motor and 25-hp electric motor are available for use with only a 3-phase electrical supply. A 2-bushel stainless steel hopper is included with each stone burr mill in the Heritage family. The feed tray is fabricated from stainless steel. Stone burr mills in the Heritage family do not include a grain cleaning screen, therefore, any grain or corn to be processed in these stone burr mills must be cleaned prior to processing.
Meadows stone burr mills 16 inch and larger may be configured so that flour discharges either through a discharge spout that is cut into the side of the housings which surround the millstones or into a materials handling fan. The materials-handling fan conveys the flour from the stone burr mill through a short length of 4 inch diameter pipe into a materials collector. The flour falls from the materials collector into a sifter, a bagging system, or a brute. Brutes are containers which may be used to collect and store flour. Optional items include a magnetic motor starter, amp meter, v-belt drive with guard, casters, 0 to 200 degree thermometer, materials-handling fan, materials collector, filter bag dust collection system, air return drum, and 4 inch diameter pipe to either connect the materials-handling fan to the materials collector or connect the air return drum to the stone burr mill.
